After being part of one of the most important duos in this genre Baby Rasta has just released his first solo album titled "La Ultima Risa" and traveled all the way from Puerto Rico to California to start promoting it.
Just before midnight Baby Rasta got on the small stage of "El Rancho" night club in the city of Concord performing "El Carnaval", a song he made popular while still being part of the duo Baby Rasta y Gringo. With that song being played a lot on the local Reggaeton radio, many fans knew the lyrics and sang along with Baby Rasta. After performing his first song he took the opportunity to promote his album "La Ultima Risa" and handed out posters and promotional CD's to many fans close to the stage.
He continued his performance with something not many Reggaeton artists do at their shows; he did a medley of his old songs from the 90's and to Baby Rasta's surprise there were fans that knew the lyrics of those songs that were popular only in Puerto Rico and Latin America not the United States. After singing some of his old songs he dedicated part of the show to his female fans by singing songs like "Cierra Los Ojos Bien". "Niña" and "Yo Quiero Contigo".
Some of the fans started yelling out song names but the DJ did not have the instrumentals but since Baby Rasta didnt wanted to dissapoint his fans, instead of using an instrumental he sang them acapella with the help of the crowd, songs like "Tu Cuerpo Quiero Tocar", "Yo Quiero Ver", "Tengo Una .40" and "Vela Por Tu Vida" where all well received by the crowd.
He wanted to keep singing his old hits but told everyone that he had to promote his album so he performed four songs from La Ultima Risa, "De Ti Me Enamore", "Manoplazo", "Hay De Mi" and finished his performance with "Capturo". As he was leaving the stage the crowd asked for another song and he came back once again and performed "Yo Soy Asi" from the album "Sentenciados" and left the crowd fully satisfied from the show they had just seen. As Baby Rasta left the stage he received a nice ovation by the crowd who enjoyed every second of his performance and will have a good motivation to pick up "La Ultima Risa" in stores now.
