The best place for a Reggaeton fan on a Tuesday night was the Virgin Megastore at Union Station August 23, 2005. The atmosphere in the music store was thick with excitement Tuesday evening. Everyone present anticipated the release of Bimbo’s new album an energetic performance from one of their favorite old school Reggaeton artists, Bimbo. Fans also had a chance to lined up after the performance and get their personal copies signed by the Reggaeton super star.

Bimbo performed a few new tracks from his album such as “Si te Sientes Sola” and “Fuleteame el Tanque,” which made the crowd go crazy. The energy he had during the performance was pulsed through the crowd and who erupted into a frenzy of chanting the stars name, Bimbo, Bimbo, Bimbo, as a way to show their immense support for him. Bimbo who is also known as El Oso Mañoso answered the crowd’s pleas for more music with a breath taking performance.

Bimbo’s Manager, June Marengo and a few local radio disc jockeys’ also joined him on stage to congratulate him on the release of his new album. After he performed, Bimbo sat down and took time to sign autographs for the long line of fans, which snaked through the Virgin Megastore. Fans were more than willing to wait for their chance with him. Even people who were unaware of the event were happy to have passed by the store only to find that they also had a chance to meet Bimbo and join the long line of fans and get an autograph as well. Bimbo sat and ensured all of the fans that attending his release party were taken care of.

Bimbo staged two major political protests against the highly controversial issue of gasoline prices in Manhattan New York’s lower east side August 24th and in Washington D. C. August 26, 2005. Bimbo and many others whose pockets have suffered because of the rising prices of gas accused politicians of getting paid off as prices continually rise. Bimbo satirizes prominent politicians like George W. Bush, Condoleeza Rice, as well as Osama bin Laden and Saddam Hussein in his new Video “Fuleteame el Tanque”. Protesters were masks of the political figures, as is also done in the video, as the crowd voices their opinions in hopes that someone will hear then and take action. Bimbo hopes to draw American attention to this global emergency through entertainment. Although some people see this as an ignorant ploy for publicity, many are not aware that small economic fluctuation in the areas of the U.S. economy, like the price of oil, affects places like Puerto Rico on a lager scale.

Bimbos Cd, Bimbo Presenta, Reggaeton 100x35 arrived in stored Tuesday. He will also begin his "Tailgate Party Tour" to promote his new album.
