Carifresco Biography
Carifresco began writing his first compositions 13 years ago in Manati, a very small town in Puerto Rico. In 1997, he started recording his songs on simple cassette players in his own home. From there, he went on to work with numerous people on a variety of projects, which led to his first professional demo in 1999. Today, he has his own recording studio. After hearing his music, Chencho offered to help Carifresco with his music, ultimately leading to his inclusion in the El Draft competition. “I have never looked at what others are doing when I am composing my music – I have always tried to be original and unique,” says Carifresco. “Despite being a Reggaeton artist, almost all my songs are romantic – but I also make sure I have some that will appeal to the night club crowds.”
