Boy Wonder made sure he invited the right people to the Playboy mansion this past Thursday September 28 2006. The party featured a preview of the music that will be presented on “Chosen Few II” as well as many of its artists. Those in attendance included over 200 guests from the media and music industry, as well as over 100 Reggaeton fanatics who were lucky enough to win VIP passes to the event.
The night started out with courtesy shuttle buses and limos pulling up to the mansion. Upon arrival, fans were immediately allowed entrance into the party while the press hung out on the red carpet to catch as the artists strutted their stuff for the cameras. The first artists to arrive were Alexis & Fido, followed by Plan B, Khriz & Angel, Zion, DJ Kazzanova, Fuego, Ghetto, Reychester, as well as LDA. This was also a coming out party of sorts for Boy Wonder’s newest talent, the Now & Laterz.
Once the chaos of the red carpet was over, everyone enjoyed food and drinks, as Boy Wonder announced the beginning of the performances. Leading off the show were Angel & Khriz, who are always a crowd favorite at any party. Next came Alexis & Fido, who, just as Angel and Khriz, performed some of their older hits and concluded with their song from the upcoming “Chosen Few II” album. Fuego, Reychester and Ghetto continued with performances that continued to hype up the crowd. The night ended with performances by Baby Ranks and a triple treat of Negra and Baby Psycho from LDA joined by Zion.
What made this party special for every man who attended was the presence of beautiful Playboy Bunnies everywhere. It was hard to find a man who did not enjoy watching the 3-4 bunnies who frolicked in body paint showcasing the Chosen Few Emerald logo. Female guests and some of the other bunnies took intermittent dips in the pool to every man’s delight. Towards the end of the party, many people had a chance to meet and chat with the infamous Hugh Heffner; unfortunately, the sexy ‘Girls Next Door’ were nowhere to be found.
As the party ended, everyone complimented on how wonderful the night had been. Fans mingled with people from the industry as well as their favorite artists with no problems. They were very grateful that Boy Wonder made something like this possible. Everyone hopped into the shuttles and limos and headed back to the hotel, as the party continued until at least 6 in the morning.
We can look forward to hearing good music on “Chosen Few II.” The DVD will show fans just what went down while the artists and Boy Wonder toured the United States. The CD and DVD will continue to educate people about Reggaeton now and well into the future.
