In the music industry the majority of the time people focus on the artists. But there are a lot of people who play essential roles in the music world. An example of this is the promoter who promotes the music and the artists. DJ Coco Rodeo of Zum Zum Music is a reggaeton promoter. He’s worked very hard in this genre in a variety of capacities. He sat down to speak with the Reggaetonline.net the # 1 reggaeton website.

Reggaetonline.net: Please introduce yourself to the Reggaetonline.net community.

It’s Coco Rodeo, the king of the street in reggaeton. You already know daddy, long live reggaeton. So all those rappers that are feuding let’s stop doing that and unite, the promoters, too. The salsa and meringue artists want to see us go under. Reggaeton has to come back up. It’s been hurt by bad administration from those who have entered the genre to hurt its progress. We’re the that know how to make reggaeton music. Long live reggaeton. Holla at your boy. Reggaeton is not only listened to in New York, Miami or California, but also South America. Colombia is #1, Peru, Ecuador, you’re hearing this from someone who knows. I’m like a missionary. I carry every grain of reggaeton to the radio stations. Holla at your boy!!!!

Reggaetonline.net: Which artists have you worked with?

Well papi, I’ve worked with Lito & Polaco, Nicky Jam, Rakim & Ken Y in the beginning when they didn’t have a dollar. When no one had gone to Europe, Nicky Jam and Daddy Yankee were the first rappers to got to Europe. We went to Italy, Milan. We worked on Toby Love’s song ‘Tengo Un Amor’ (I Have a Love) with Wise. Also a duo named Jakziel & Periel from Puerto Rico. I worked with thousands of rappers, I’ve been here since this started.

Reggaetonline.net: What advice do you have for reggaeton artists?

From Coco Rodeo my advice is let’s make reggaeton music every day. Let’s not copy the Americans because we’re more talented than they are. Long live reggaeton and forget merengue and salsa.
