I've spent the last 2 weeks listening to nothing but bachata, and I've come to the conclusion dat 2006 will be the year of bachata.we are only one week into the new year and already I have two of the best albums of the year. For all of you who want some good new bachata and are tired of listening to god's project u have to get the new Frank Reyes C.D "Dosis De Amor" and the new C.D from the greatest bachatero of all time Teodoro Reyes "Haciendo El Amor".

Bachata has always been a big genre in Honduras. I m sure BAchata mixed with Reggaeton is gonna be big,it already is,but i doubt PURE Bachata(not Aventura) will blow in the U.S. Because it isnt related to a Billboard Genre(Reggaetonto Hip Hop) and people will think it's to "Mexican". Aventura might blow though.

unfortunately u're right I doubt pure bachata will ever blow up big outside of the latin community but am kinda glad because I wouldn't want to see whats happening to reggaeton as it becomes more mainstream happen to bachata lol could u imagine anthony santos on B.E.T

Aventura would be a perfect fit for B.E.T. If Bachata got to New York it would turn into that. Aventura has good lyrics, but i think you would see more Nueva Era Stuff.
