ive anyways seen this guy on tv and always wondered what the big deal with him until i searched him on the internet i found out some interesting things about him. like how many records he's sold.

ricky martin and gloria estefan sold 50 mil albums worldwide and they had were crossover singers with big hits in the US and we all know once u have a pop hit in america its going to do really well cause of teen boppers. but then u got Luis, who only sung in spainish and still sold 50 mil albums also. now isnt that impressive. he has also went double platinum in the US with one of his albums. no disrespect but daddy yankee sold only 1 mil worldwide.

to anybody out there who likes kinda of likes luis miguel, support him so we could have another latino go down in the music history books while he's still young and in his prime.

i just read somewhere that he sol 700,000 albums of his latest cd in mexico ALONE. i wonder how many he sold worldwide for that cd.

Luis Miguel is a rare talent. His voice is beautiful, but I believe it's the way he sings, that has captured all his fans hearts. He sings like a 'True Romantic'.
He started young, around the same time I got into music like 12 and so we grew up with my generation and just got better.
He became more famous when he re did some old love songs, from Mexico.
That is when he captured an older audience.
So there now he had the best of both worlds.
He is one of my favorites.
You must see him live, I was speechless, and I had goosebumps on the back of my neck.
You can feel his music when he sings, just as much as he feels it by singing it.

Ricardo Arjona...i use to like him when he did "Señora de las cuatro decadas" and "si el norte fuera al sur", but lately he has let me down. What's up with, "acompañame a estar solo"..NONSENSE. Than that song where he sings como deshacerme de ti si no te tengo, como alejarme de ti si estas tan lejos...man pure nonsense. NOw...Alejandro Sanz, he a tru artist, sings and writes his stuff, not Like LuisMiREy :mad: , i hate him, singing mexican songs when he don't even live there anymore, just doing "remakes"...straight pop XXXX.

OK I NEED HELP.

these days ive only read stuff about LM, and have also heard 30 second samples on amazon. i also found out that my aunt used to lay LM when i was really really little. but his songs sound a little bit to boring and slow for my taste. im tryin really hard to become a fan of his but dont know where to start, so i need help. what top 3 or 5 songs would u recommend for a beginner. the only song i cant get out of my head from my childhood that i like is Si Nos Dejan. so what other songs is like that.

Acompaname a estar solo is a deep song. A Classic. You wouldnt know unless you've been through it. Arjona is a real pop artist,but not "pop" as billboard calls it,"pop" as what we used to know it. Arjona writes and produces all of his music. And dont get me started about Alejandro. "Tru Artist". Dude did a Reggaeton song with Shakira!!!!!!!!! All bout the money man.
