Al JaDAQUI?? Never heard of them...but i like rock en español. Favorite band had to be Jaguares a.k.a. Caifanes. I heard about rata blanca just a little bit. Here are some of my fav. bands

Enanitos Verdes - all their songs rock!
Soda Stereo - Musica ligera!
Cafe tacuba - Dejate caer, Chilanga banda, etc..all their stuff good too
Resorte - Good mexican metal band
Puya - great puerto rican band
Maldita Vecindad - Don Palabras and Un poco de sangre are two of my fav songs
el tri - rock gods
Theres this kind of music..punk-ska...is a little bit like..lol punk ska...here are some good bands and songs:
Panteon Rococo - La Carencia
Sekta Core - Zona de Terror
Ska- P - Tio Sam and Planeta Skoria(two great songs)
I love this kind of music..besides most of it has great lyrical content, the music itself is perfect to start a "slam"... :D

I'm all for trying new things but the problem with Rock in Spanish is that no matter who comes along, no matter how good they are.....no one will ever match a song like Metallica's 'One', for example.

Is different man...see, most rock en español is "soft rock"...metallica is heavy metal, so i guess we can't compare metallica to another heavy metal spanish band, since there are so few...try Rata Blanca, Angeles del Infierno, or A.N.I.M.A.L. that's the closest u will get to Metallica in spanish, But I agree with u, there's only one Metallica :D (favorite song "Puppet Master")
