Latin Grammys : Don Omar wins the Urban categories

The Puerto Rican singer William Omar Landron, better known as Don Omar, won the 2 awards available in the "Urban" category at the "Latin Grammy" ceremony held last night in Las Vegas. "El Rey" (The King) won the award for "Best Urban Music Album" for the album Meet The Orphan 2 (MTO2) and the award for "Best Urban Song" for "Hasta Que Salga El Sol."

In the category "Best Urban Music Album" Don Omar was competing with Ana Tijoux (La Bala, Nacional Records), Farruko (The Most Powerful Rookie, Siente Music), Tego Calderon (The Original Gallo Del Pais, Jiggiri Records) and J Alvarez, a favorite at (Otro Nivel De Musica Reloaded, Nelflow Records).

In the category "Best Urban Song", the other nominees were Daddy Yankee (Lovumba), Alexis & Fido (Energía, songwriters Alexis y Fido and Egbert Rosa "Como El Fino Haze"), Don Omar ft. Natti Natasha (Dutty Love, Don Omar & songwriters Milton Restituyo) and Sensato ft. Pitbull and Sak Noel (Crazy People, songwriters Max Deniro, Sak Noel, Pitbull & Urales Vargas).
