Univision Radio La Kalle 105.9 FM, New York's premier Urban Latino radio station, announced today the most anticipated Reggaeton concert of the year. The Block Party will be held at Madison Square Garden on Saturday, September 23 rd, and will include performances by the hottest Reggaeton and Latin hip-hop artists from around the globe.
Performers include Atlantic Records' breakout artist of the NYC Reggaeton scene Tego Calderon, the masterful lyricists Machete/Universal recording artist Don Omar, Roc la Familia/Def Jam recording artist Hector El Father, EMI /Televisa recording artist Tito El Bambino, White Lion/ Sony artist Calle 13, Alexis Y Fido and the newest sensation in the music genre from Puerto Rico Pina/Sony recording artist Rakim y Ken-Y.
Produced by Eddie Rodriguez for Latin Works Music Corporation, the event will be uniquely presented in the round, providing concert goers with a distinct 360-degree view of their favorite artists - a first for a Latin music event in the history of Madison Square Garden. The state of the art show will also include major surprises along the way.
La Kalle's 2005 Block Party was a huge success, with a sold out concert that featured performances from Don Omar, Ivy Queen, Wisin Y Yandel, Voltio, Nina Sky, Hector El Bambino, Zion and Lennox, Cuban Link, Glory and NORE, Elephant Man as well as a special surprise appearance by Romeo of the #1 Bachata group Aventura.
