Despite countless rumors regarding Tego Calderón’s participation in the new Lisa M video and other productions with artists in the reggaetón genre, Tego remains entirely focused on completing his new album. As a result, Tego is currently unable to participate in any activity that will take him away from putting the finishing touches on his next album The Underdog/El Subestimado, which is scheduled to be released this summer.
“I feel honored so many of my colleagues want to feature me in their video productions. Unfortunately, I am currently unable to participate in any of these, since I am concentrating all my efforts on finishing my new album,” said El Abayarde.
The composer of “Al Natural” commented that the team, which will be working on the new album’s launch, is already in place. “Following our separation from White Lion, we took on the task of building a new label under the name Jiggiri Records and identifying the people with the proven talent to collaborate and guarantee the success of this new production,” Tego stated.
The artist added the promotional track, which will provide fans with a feel of what to expect from the new CD, will be released soon. “It has a little of everything, which is what makes it special and unique,” he stated.
Last weekend Tego participated in the Sunday baseball program, Domingo de Grandes Ligas, which is televised weekly by the ESPN cable television channel. Tego created a remix of “Bureo” a song on his upcoming album with baseball-related lyrics. The remix was released on May 7 during the game between the San Francisco Giants and the Philadelphia Phillies. As part of the agreement with ESPN, Tego’s song will become the weekly program’s jingle and will be heard throughout the entire baseball season.
“We have a lot of plans and I know we will make history with the things to come,” Tego concluded.
