Last week, Bolivia welcomed the singing duo that is making music history, Wisin and Yandel, with praises and accolades. In the city of La Paz, 20,000 people came to see the Duo perform on stage, while in Santa Cruz some 35,000 fans were captivated by the charismatic Reggaeton stars.
During their visit to Santa Cruz, officials honored the young singers by placing a star in their honor in the city’s “Walk of Fame.” Other artists who have had their stars placed here include Alejandro Fernández and Ricardo Arjona. The organization “Fight Against Cancer” of Cine Center was in charge of the ceremony and made a donation to entities that assist children with cancer.
This week, the Duo is preparing for their performances in two of the most prestigious arenas in the music industry: Altos del Chavón in the Dominican Republic on Jan. 27 and Radio City Music Hall on Feb. 2. All the aesthetic and resources for both performances are being maximized to create spectacular events.
“ I know that the magic of these two highly important arenas will pump us with the adrenalin needed to create an explosion of energy on stage,” the Duo commented. We are working with our production team in order to guarantee that our fans leave these events highly energized,” they stated.
In Altos del Chavón, the surroundings of the architectural structures will provide an exceptional element to the stage’s backdrop.
On Feb. 2, in Radio City Music Hall a hydraulic stage will be utilized, along with special lighting effects, dry ice, pyrotechnics, and visuals to create an event that is worthy of the legendary auditorium and the public attending.
All the production elements are being previously programmed in the studio on computer to provide a synchronized effect during the performances, in such a manner that a Broadway effect will be achieved on stage that night.
The highly acclaimed musical director, Angel Torres, will be in charge of the concert’s music and together with his renowned band and a classical surprise will provide the musical setting for the evening.
“We invite everyone to come and witness these historical concerts and enjoy what will be remembered as world-class shows,” concluded Wisin and Yandel.
